Don’t expect to get any gas from the Shell station next to the Totem Mall anytime soon.
Late Friday night, the gas station ran out of gas and is currently closed. At the moment the other Shell station in Fort St. John still has gas and diesel.
It’s unclear if the shortage in Fort St. John is connected to a shortage in Alberta and southeastern B.C. In late July. Several stations, starting in Alberta, ran out of gas starting around July 20th.
That shortage was caused by supply problems and and minor production issues at more than one Alberta refinery as of late.
