Stampeders win Wheatbelt championship

The Peace River Stampeders continued their mastery of the Wheatbelt baseball league, when they wrapped up the championship with a 4-2 extra-innings victory over Beaverlodge on Wednesday night.

Jevon Titus earned the win and also hit a home-run, as the Stampeders completed the sweep of the three-game championship series to earn their second consecutive league title.

Fort St. John’s Paladin Black Sox finished the regular season with a record of 6-14, including several games forfeited due to a lack of players.  Cecil Lake’s Norwest Thunder finished at 1-19.
