The Fort Nelson RCMP have released the name of the man whose vehicle collided with a CN train along the Alaska Highway.
Francis Vervalcke’s pickup hit the train just after 1 a.m. Thursday.
The crash between the 61 year-old’s truck and the train occurred at a marked railway crossing about 10 km south of Fort Nelson.
Police say they believe the crossing lights were working at the time of the crash but are still investigating the reason for the accident.
