An arrest has been made in the numerous break and enters that have occurred over the past weeks in Fort St. John.
Derek Glenn Domeij appeared in court Friday charged with break and enter, theft, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
The Fort St. John RCMP say they received a report of a break and enter in progress on 96 Ave. on Thursday. The suspect had already fled the scene but less than an hour later, police responded to a theft taking place from a vehicle on 93 Ave. and the descriptions of the suspect were similar.
Police say they found the suspect a few blocks away in possession of items stolen from the residential break and enter.
Furthermore, he was charged with another break and enter from Thursday. Police say he has also been charged with robbery after a violent theft July 25 when he allegedly pushed the victim and threatened to kill him after stealing a Playstation 3.
Domeij has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance in September.
