Provincial Conservative association starting in B.C.

The B.C. Conservative party is starting up in the Peace River area.

Bob Zimmer is the regional director for the Peace for the provincial association. He says there has only been a constituency offices in the province but now various ridings are getting a Conservative association.

The new association will be started up for the Peace River North and South ridings.

He says the associations are being put in place in many ridings across the province.

There will be two information sessions in both ridings. He says he will give information on the party and their beliefs and that anyone wishing to become a member can sign up. A $10 fee applies to memberships.

The first event will be taking place in Dawson Creek on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the George Dawson Inn. The second will take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Pomeroy Hotel.
