Fort St. John City Council will hold a public hearing tonight about a zoning change for the new fire hall.
The City of Fort St. John is in the process of planning the construction of a new fire hall on 93rd avenue. In 2008, the City purchased two parcels of land behind Sobey’s for just over $1 million.
The land in question is currently zoned commercial core and parks and recreation. The City needs to re-zone the land to institutional in order to build the new fire hall.
The public will be allowed to make presentations to Council in regards to the proposed bylaw change, which starts at 6pm Monday at City Hall.
