Flooding at the Totem Mall – Adam Reaburn/Energeticcity.ca
City Manager Dianne Hunter says the worst of the flooding is over and Public Works is now dispatching all resources to mop up the mess. The storm overloaded the storm sewer system and as the system catches up she expected the water to disperse.
Meanwhile, a small house fire was reported in the area of 96th ave and 82nd street. The fire dept. says the fire was caused by a lighting strike either hitting the house or near by, and then a high current caused a small fire near the Electrical panel in the house. Â Damage is minor and the fire was quickly put out.
