The trial for a Fort St. John man has been declared a mistrial.
The Prince George Citizen is reporting that Supreme Court Justice Glen Parrett declared the mistrial in the case of a 2004 murder in Prince George.
The jury was unable to reach a verdict after two-and-a-half days.
Jesse Norman Sweder was on trial for the murder of 35 year-old Peter John Letendre in December of 2004.
His defence lawyer says he told an undercover police officer that he killed a man because he wanted to gain favour with who he thought was a Hell’s Angel biker.
According to the Citizen, Sweder will be back in court on September 13th, 2010.
