The Fort St. John RCMP continue to investigate two suspicious fires.
Police and fire crews were called to a fire that destroyed two homes Friday night. One home was still under construction.
At this point the RCMP have not made any arrests in connection with the fire but have told Energeticcity.ca that they are looking for two youths of approximately 15 years of age.
One is described as 6 feet tall and has a slim build. The second also has a slim build but is shorter in height.
The second fire early Sunday morning destroyed a truck parked near the intersection of 91 Street and 91 Avenue. The RCMP are still looking for a group of at least three youths seen leaving the area shortly after the fire.
At this time the RCMP won’t say what was used to start either fire as the investigation continues. They also don’t believe the two incidents are connected, but they haven’t ruled that out as a possibility.
If you have any further information about either incident, contact the RCMP at 250-787-8140 or anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
