Support Fort St John News

The Industrial Instrumentation program at Northern Lights College is getting a big donation.

The Alliance Pipeline Limited’s Community Investment Fund is donating $50,000 to NLC which is going towards purchasing equipment for the Level 4 Apprenticeship program.

The new equipment will be a Vibration Shaker, two sensor units, a three-level Elevator Simulator trainer, and two level measurement trainers.

Trevor Loberg, the Grande Prairie area manager for the company says that institutions like the College are important to a community. He added that the company believes Fort St. John is an important community to get more involved in.

The Dean of Trades and Apprenticeship, Jeff Lekstrom, says the new equipment will help to reduce the number of students that will need to share workstations and allow them to get more hands-on experience.
