The Canada Revenue Agency will be coming to Fort St. John to give presentations related to the HST.
On July 13, two experts from the Canada Revenue Pacific Region GST/HST ruling center will be giving free seminars on the place of supply (doing business between provinces with the HST now in effect in B.C.) and real property.
Annette Oak is the manager of the Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce. She says that the place of supply is a very important topic especially in Fort St. John since there are many companies conducting business with those in Alberta.
The seminar on real property will address how people who purchase, develop or rent property will be affected by the HST.
The seminars are sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Pomeroy Hotel.
The seminars on place of supply and real property will be taking place at the Pomeroy Hotel at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
