The value of construction in Fort St. John continues far ahead of last year’s pace, and in fact the year-over-year increase went up again in June.
33 permits were issued last month worth $4.31 million dollars, and that raised the six month calender year total to almost $23 million from 142 permits.
That’s a spread of more than $15 million as compared to the year-over-year increase of just less than $14 million in May.
The 33 June permits were also worth nearly a million dollars more than the 39 issued in June of last year.
The 142 permits issued in the first six months of this year have resulted in city revenue of nearly $114 thousand dollars.
That’s also more than three times the comparable 2009 total, which was just over 36 thousand from 108 permits.
