Calgary based Ferus Incoporated, which currently owns and operates six cryogenic plants in Alberta, has confirmed the acquisition of land in Dawson Creek, for a liquid nitrogen plant for this region.
With a capital investment in excess of 20 million dollars, the facility will be the first of its kind, to be located in B.C.’s rapidly expanding energy sector.
It will produce liquid nitrogen from the air for the purpose of stimulating the production of clean-burning natural gas from wells located throughout this region.
The facility, currently under construction, is expected to be fully operational by the end of next year, and it will have the capacity to be expanded in the future.
