One man is in custody after a search warrant was executed in Grande Prairie.

A 29 year old Grande Prairie man is facing a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) and Possession of a Substance (Ecstasy) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act, after a judicially authorized search warrant was executed at an apartment block on 106 Avenue, on Friday June 25th.

The accused was arrested in the parking lot without incident at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, and subsequently a judicially authorized search warrant was effected within an apartment in the complex. Grande Prairie RCMP Drug Section reportedly seized 2 ounces of cocaine which was separated into various weights and a small amount of ecstacy.

The man remains in custody and will appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Monday June 28th.
