Stage 3 water ban lifted in Taylor

The strict water ban has been lifted for the District of Taylor.

The District has reinstated Stage 1 Water Use Restrictions after implementing Stage 3 restrictions on Monday.

Stage 1 water use restrictions allow residents to water with a sprinkler on odd numbered days between 6 and 8 a.m. and 8 and 10 p.m.

At any time, residents can water their plants or trees with a watering can or hose with a shutoff nozzle. As well, they can wash their vehicles by using a hose with a shutoff nozzle or by going to a car wash.

The water reservoir had dropped to below 50 per cent but has now recovered and is at 92 per cent. To help limit the frequency of future strict water bans, the District is in the process of upgrading its water system by adding a second reservoir and another high volume production well.
