The Paladin Black Sox came up short in their double header against Beaverlodge on Sunday.
In the early game, Royal Jory Lutzmann pitched a complete game shutout, and added 4 hits at the plate, as Beaverlodge won 5-0.
In the second leg, the unbeaten Royals jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 10-7 victory.
Cecil Lake also failed to record its first win of the season. Visiting the Grimshaw Huskies, the Norwest Thunder lost both games of a double-header, by scores of 9-4 and 9-2.
