Kent Pedersen won a close sprint for Dawson Creek’s 70 km Challenge Cup road race, Sunday, over Pat Ferris and Kevin Shaw. All had a time of 1:57:51 hours. Gill Neufeld was 4th at 2:01:40 and Chris Garwah 5th at 2:10:06.
The Blizzards won the day with 46 points to DC’s 25 and GP’s 3. That puts the defending champion Blizzards back in the lead with 122 points, GP’s 113 and DC’s 68, with four races to go.
Jamie Maxwell was 6th at 2:10:08, Warren Miller (GP) 2:11:28, Pat Coppens 2:14:46, Francis Plum (GP) 2:18:00 and Owen Giebelhaus 2:19:59.

Sam Keats won the 50 km event with a time of 1:35:22, five seconds ahead of second place Ken Nix.
Larry Joice won the 25 km at 54:19. Brenda Coppens was second at 55:55 and Brandon Joice 3rd at 1:03:10.
