A new book has been created to help new immigrants in Fort St. John.

The Settlement Workers in Schools program lead a project to create a book featuring 13 stories from immigrants in Fort St. John. Mayrena Mills help to create the book and hopes this will help new immigrants.

The book also features pictures drawn by local children and can be found in the libraries of any school in School District 60 and the Fort St. John Library.

Mills says this community is full of immigrants from all over the world.

The book is called “Coming to Canada: The Experience of Immigrants in Northern BC” and will be used by the Settlement Workers in Schools program and by other community groups that help welcome immigrants to Canada.
