FSJ Man Killed in Alberta Peace Rollover

There was police confirmation today that an unidentified 57 year old Fort St. John man was killed in a single vehicle crash, at about 3.30 yesterday afternoon in the Alberta Peace.

The Grande Prairie RCMP says he was the lone occupant of a semi-trailer truck that rolled, while traveling north on the Forestry Trunk Road {Highway 734} at kilometer 60, south of Debolt.

The wreckage was discovered by another trucker, who contacted emergency services by cellphone, but the victim died at the rollover site.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police have already ruled out both speed and alcohol as contributing factors.
