RCMP search for vehicle after attempted abductions

By Adam Reaburn

The Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for your help in locating a possible vehicle of interest.

In between April 17th, 2010 and May 5th, 2010, the Dawson Creek detachment received three sperate complaints of an elderly male driving a red pick up truck offering candy and ice cream to young children.

During each of the incidents, those involved refused any contact and the male drove off.  The vehicle is described as a 4-door pick up truck, red in colour and may possibly be a dually.  The caucasian male is described as 50 to 60 years old, with a heavy build, grey hair and wore a thick framed glasses.

The RCMP would like to speak with this male and would appreciate the public’s help in identifying him or his vehicle by licence plate.  You can reach the Dawson Creek Detachment at 250-784-3700 or you can contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
