Update: The bald eagle was captured just before 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The eagle spent the night near Mrs. Hummel’s house on 101st avenue. The conservation officers left equipment for Hummel, and she managed to capture the eagle. It will be sent to a wild life rehabilitation centre near Dawson Creek.

An injured Bald Eagle has been spotted in Fort St. John.
The Bald Eagle was spotted shortly after 5pm on Thursday afternoon on 101st avenue near 106th street. This is the second sighting in as many days in Fort St. John. The bird seems to be injured and so far Conservation Officers have been unable to catch the Eagle.
If Conservation Officers are able to capture the Eagle, it will be taken to a wild life rehabilitation centre near Dawson Creek.
The Eagle can only fly short distances as its left wing has been injured.
