Several businesses and community groups are working to help support the victims of Friday’s fire.
Sterling Management, the landlords of the building, will be collecting donations starting on Sunday behind Staples at the Totem Mall. They will be collecting donations of clothing, household furniture, kitchen appliances, etc.
Pricesmart Food will also be holding a dry food/clothing and household and furniture drive from 9am to 5pm on Monday.
Walmart is also accepting cash donations at any of their tills for the victims of the fire.
You can also make donations at the ABC Thrift Shop, which is located on 100th avenue near Casey’s Pub.
In total 60 people may have lost everything as almost all the tenants didn’t have insurance. The fire is still under investigation, but it looks at though, the entire building has been destroyed.
