The value of construction in Fort St. John continues to run well ahead of last year’s pace.

The March numbers from City Hall show 12 construction permits were issued in March, with a total value of $1.56 million.

That brings the 2010 total to 35 permits, worth a total of $10.7 million, which easily outdistances the 2009 first-quarter total of 23 permits, worth $1.4 million.

The City brought in $36,000 in revenue from the March permits, bringing the City’s 2010 take to nearly $69,000.
