The Grande Prairie Athletics are the NPHL’s Campbell Cup champions.
The Athletics won the decisive game five on Wednesday night, in Grande Prairie, by a final score of 6-3. The victory gives the A’s the NPHL title, after the team finished as runners-up to Fort St. John last year.
The Athletics will move on to the provincial ‘A’ and ‘AA’ championships, April 2-4 in Brooks, Alberta.
The Athletics also finished second at the Alberta championships last year, after losing the final game to the host Spirit River Rangers.
