A Fort John man, accused of killing an Edmonton sex trade worker, began a preliminary hearing on Monday.

24 year-old Joseph Laboucan is being charged with second-degree murder in the death of 33 year-old Ellie May Meyer.

Meyer’s body was found in 2005, in Strathcona County.
