A Fort John man, accused of killing an Edmonton sex trade worker, began a preliminary hearing on Monday.
24 year-old Joseph Laboucan is being charged with second-degree murder in the death of 33 year-old Ellie May Meyer.
Meyer’s body was found in 2005, in Strathcona County.
The CBC reports that Laboucan is already serving a life sentence for the kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault and first-degree murder of 13 year-old Nina Courtepatte.
