An Alberta highway traveled by many Fort St. John residents is getting a major upgrade.
The Alberta provincial government announced that a twinning project is set for Highway 43 between Wembley to the east of Beaverlodge.
That project is part of northern Alberta’s highway construction plan to meet the needs of a growing population.
In 2010, the Alberta government plans to invest $1.9 billion in the provincial highway network.
