Police arrest a man in connection with '09 hotel beating

The Fort St. John RCMP have arrested man in connection with a brutal hotel beating that occured last November.

A 40 year-old Alberta man was airlifted to the Edmonton hospital after he was beaten by a group of men on November 28th.  The man has since been released from hospital, but had to undergo facial reconstruction surgery to correct the damage done.

After a nearly two month investigation, officers arrested a 23 year-old on January 8th. But, charges have not been formally laid, so the name of the suspect cannot be released.

Corperal Steve Perret with the Fort St. John RCMP says police are still looking to speak with two other individuals who were at the Northwoods Inn at the time of incident.

Police have identified another man in connection with the incident, but have made no further arrests to date.

Perret is hoping newly-released photos from the surveillance cameras, will jog a few memories.
