Creating healthy eating habits will be one of the topics of coversation, at a seminar for pregnant women in the Peace.
On January 9th, The Women’s Resource Society is offering a free workshop called "Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy."
Women’s Resource Society spokesperson Emily Goodman says it will allow participants to ask their own questions and share personal experiences.
The workshop is being offered to anyone who is pregnant or thinking about having a baby.
It’s the third event in a series of classes encouraging women to discuss their physical and emotional health needs.
Goodman says Population Health Dietician Nita Abbi will be leading Saturday’s meeting, and will be encouraging discussion.
Anyone interested in the event can drop-in on Saturday, January 9th to the Centre, located at 10051-100th Avenue.
It starts at 2 p.m. and will last for around an hour and a half. The next workshop is scheduled for February, and will focus on breast cancer and cervical cancer.
