A prisoner managed to wiggle out of police custody on Thursday, and escape into the snowy streets of Fort St. John.
He didn’t make it far though, after his mother alerted police to his whereabouts.
It all began when the unidentified male was arrested by police on an unnamed charge.
On Thursday, the prisoner began complaining that he was not feeling well. So, police took him to the Fort St. John hospital.
But, as he was being escorted back to the police car, the prisoner pulled away from an officer, and fled on foot.
Corporal Kim Graham says a few hours later, the prisoner was located at an undisclosed area in Fort St. John, thanks to a tip from his mother.
The man is now being sent to the Prince George detachment with an added charge of fleeing police.
