4 days left to vote for Fort St. John in Gamestown 2010 Competition

There are only 4 days left to vote for Fort St. John in the Gamestown 2010 competition.

Three communities in British Columbia will be awarded Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals with each one worth anywhere from $100,000 to $25,000.  If Fort St. John is picked, the money would go towards upgrades at recreational facilities in the community.

Mayor Lantz is encouraging the entire community to get out and vote Fort St. John and to also submit stories about the spirit of our community.  Once the votes are counted, if Fort St. John is in the top ten in our population category, a panel of judges will pick the winners based on the stories submitted.

All residents have to do now is log onto the website and vote or either explain how the community is making a difference in supporting healthy living, sports, environmental sustainability, and the Olympic spirit.

To date, there are only a handful of stories dedicated to Fort St. John.

So Mayor Lantz is encouraging residents to rally together and submit their stories.
