ROAD REPORT FOR THE ALASKA HIGHWAY KM 133 TO KM 968

 

THE HIGHWAY IS IN GOOD WINTER DRIVING CONDITION.

COMPACT AND SLIPPERY SECTIONS THROUGHOUT WHOLE HIGHWAY.

DRIVE FOR CONDITIONS.

 

 

BETWEEN WONOWON (KM 133) AND FORT NELSON (KM 454):

 

LIGHT SNOW UP TO KM 161, LOW VISIBILITY WHEN MEETING VEHICLES.

 

 

BETWEEN FORT NELSON (KM 454) AND LIARD RIVER (KM 762):

 

ROUGH AND SLIPPERY COMPACT SECTIONS FROM KM 501 – 520.

WATCH FOR BUFFALO BETWEEN KM 740 AND 762.

 

 

BETWEEN LIARD RIVER (KM 762) AND YUKON BORDER (KM 968):

 

WATCH FOR BUFFALO ON ROAD.

 

 

 

 

MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO WATCH FOR WILDLIFE ON THE HIGHWAY, TO DRIVE WITH HEADLIGHTS ON AT ALL TIMES, TO REDUCE SPEED WHEN PASSING CREWS AND EQUIPMENT WORKING, AND THAT SEAT BELT USE IS MANDATORY IN THE PROVINCE OF B.C.
