New lottery to benefit Northern cancer services

A new lottery aims to improve health care for cancer patients in Northern BC.

The ‘Cash to Fight Cancer Lottery’ will offer an inaugural grand prize of $250,000, and a limit of 7,777 tickets.  There are also secondary prizes available, ranging from $1,000-$5,000, as well as Tim Hortons gift cards.

Created by the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, the lottery will benefit Community Cancer Clinics in nine northern communities, including Fort St. John.

Tickets are $100 each, and the draw date is December 19th.
