Fort St. John gets thousands for social housing

Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm has confirmed that Fort St. John will be the beneficiary of nearly 808 thousand dollars, under terms of a new senior government agreement to renovate and retrofit social housing.

Prince George/Peace River MP Jay Hill says Ottawa is working with all the provinces, and injecting one billion dollars into the upgrade program.

A news release from Mr. Pimm’s office calls the initiative part of an overall 14 billion dollar capital infrastructure program, launched by the province, that will create up to 88 thousand jobs over three years.
