Double-cross Sunday for Blizzards

The Blizzard Bike Club had a tough, ‘Double Cross’ cyclo cross, Sunday.

Stephen Ferris won the 1 hour morning event doing 10 laps of the North Peace circuit in a total time of 1:13:32 hours.  Sven Svenson was second at 1:18:32.

Pat Ferris was third with 9 laps at 1:14:12.  Roger St. Jean was 4th at 9 laps at 1:16:22, Gord Harris 9 – 1:19:42, Kevin Shaw 9 – 1:22:18.  

Sam Keats did 8 laps at 1:16:54, George Gamble 8-1:17:48, Rob Churchill 8 – 1:22:44. Owen Giebelhaus did 7 laps at 1:22:08.

Bob Andrews did 6 laps at 58:10.

The circuit featured an expanded ‘Hells Gate’ maze and an enlarged route through the sand trap on the 2.8 km loop.

Sven Svenson won the afternoon 30 minute Beatton Cactus cyclo cross with 3 laps in 34:24 minutes.  Pat Ferris was second also with 3 laps at 40:19, Gary Hilderman 45:25 for third, George Gamble 4th at 45:25, and Sam Keats 5th at 48:53.

Adam Currie was 6th at 2 laps at 36:07, Ken Nix 36:23, Dean Lowry 36:55, Barb Polehoykie 39:26, and Owen Giebelhaus 48:02.

Riders used the lower mountain bike 1.5 km loop.
