Another man arrested for home invasion in Peace River

The Peace River RCMP detachment has arrested another person in connection with several home invasions earlier this year.

Five months ago, the suspects posed as either police officers or gas service technicians, to enter a home.

An investigation was launched, and in September, the RCMP apprehended two of the suspects.

Officers then issued a Canada-Wide warrant for 45 year-old Scott Douglas Nixon. Nixon was recently found in Pincher Creek, Alberta and has since been arrested.

He faces charges including: robbery with a firearm, forcible confinement, disguise with intent, and uttering threats.

Now, the investigation is ongoing and officers anticipate further charges against a fourth male believed to have been involved in the home invasions.

Police cannot release the name of the suspect because charges have yet to be announced.
