11 local runners finish Victoria Marathon

A legion of local athletes braved 13 degree weather on Vancouver Island this weekend for the annual Victoria Marathon.

Leading the way was Gord ‘the hammer’ Harris, who finished with a chip-time of 3 hours 24 minutes.  Rebecca Pimm also impressed, with a 3:32, while Dave Sloan and Katherine Unrau also finished.

In the 21k half marathon, Lisa Boda was the quickest of the Fort St. John runners, at 1:46, with Kelly Hunt, Lloyd Gibson, Renee Kyllo, Brad Taylor, Brandee Bowe, and Katie Sloan also all finishing the race.
