United Way hosts 'seeing is believing' tour

The United Way of Northern British Columbia is inviting the community to a ‘Seeing is Believing’ Tour.

Campaign and Community Programs Officer Mearl Webster says it’s a great opportunity for the public to see what happens with donated money.

The free tour will take participants to two United Way Agency Partners.  Participants will first tour the North Peace Community Resource Society, and then head to the North East Native Advancing Society.

The tour is on October 6th, and leaves from the ExecuPlace building on the corner of 101st Avenue and 102nd Street.

Participants are asked to confirm their attendance with Mearl Webster at mearlw@unitedwaynbc.ca or phone 250-263-9266.

The tour starts at 11:55 a.m. and ends around 1:15 p.m. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch, and take part in a thoughts and reflections discussion at the end.
