The Fort St. John RCMP report two robberies in the last week.
The first robbery occurred September 18th at approximately 3:27am in the area of 96th avenue and 100th street. The RCMP attended the hospital where the victim was being treated for non life-threatening injuries. The victim reported that he was struck from behind by assailants.
The assailants were wearing dark coloured hoodies. The assailants took the victims wallet and other personal items.
Then on September 22nd at approximately 3:47am, there was a report of an armed robbery in the area of 100th avenue and 96th street. The victim was struck with what is believed to be a handgun. The two assailants were described as 6’0" and 5’7" to 5’9", native and both wearing dark hoodies with disguises over their faces. The victim’s backpack containing personal items was taken.
The police believe that these two incidents may be related and the investigation is ongoing.
