Fort St. John RCMP attend workplace accident

Officers from the Fort St. John RCMP were called to a workplace accident on Wednesday.

Shortly after noon, Police attended an oil field work site in Buick Creek. BC Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

Investigators say that for an unknown reason, a male had collapsed while sitting on a chair. The worker then hit his head as he fell from the chair.

The investigation continues with Work Safe BC, but at this time, officials do not know why the man had lost consciousness.

Officers will be concluding their investigation, as they let Work Safe BC take over.

The male has been released from hospital with minor injuries.
