It’s been just over two months since construction began on the new Fort St. John hospital.

Project Director Tom Sparrow discussed the project on Issues and Answers on Wednesday morning.

The new hospital will include 55 beds and 123 beds in the residential care facility. The 297.9 million dollar project is a P3 partnership, which means it has both public and private partnerships.

Sparrow says this allows for international input in the designing, building and financing for the new hospital over the next 30 years.

Sparrow says the new hospital is giving local contractors a chance to take part in the process.

The hospital should be complete in the summer of 2012.
