A new plan aims to increase safety on South Peace resource roads.
The South Peace Resource Roads Safety Plan will standardize policies for those who use resource roads, and create a more uniform approach to road use.
Developed by the South Peace Road Safety Committee, the plan will introduce 42 new resource road channels, as well as instituting new radio calling procedures. It also creates new standards on road rules and signage, as well as design, construction, and maintenance.
The changes come into effect on October 1st of this year.
