The Fort Hotel property remains on the Annual Tax Sale list.
The City of Fort St. John released a revised list of properties facing tax sale. Five properties have been removed, after the city received full payment for the delinquent portion of the taxes and interests.
But, the Fort Hotel property at the corner of 100th and 100th remains, and has an upset price of $66,748.
The sale auctions off properties on which no taxes have been paid for at least three years, in compliance with the Local Government Act.
When the list was originally released, 19 properties were up for tax sale. Last year, 22 properties were announced for tax sale, but taxes were paid by the due date on all of them.
The property owners must pay the delinquent taxes and interest before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28. Otherwise, properties will be up for auction at City Hall, at 10:00 a.m. that day.
