Motorcyclist dies after Highway 29 Accident

A motorcyclist is dead following a single vehicle accident on Highway 29 near Bear Flats.

On September 12th at approximately 3:30pm, a passing motorist called the RCMP and notified them of a single vehicle accident.  Details are still limited, but the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the Fort St. John Hospital.

The road was reduced to single lane traffic until just after 11pm Sunday night.  At one point the RCMP even called in North Peace Search and Rescue as they believed a passenger was missing.  That report turned out to be false.

Further information about the accident will not be released at this time pending a further investigation and notification of next of kin.
