McDonells win first BBC mtn bike race of season

The McDonell boys, Trevor and son Connor were the winners of the Blizzard Bike Club’s first mountain bike race of the season, on Sunday.

Trevor McDonell (the 2002 Club Champ) won the tough 6 laps of the race on the new Beatton Cactus circuit with a time of 59:09.  He also had the fastest single lap at 8:54 minutes for the initial 1.5 km lap. Gary Hilderman was second at 1:02:00 and Pat Ferris (4 time club champ) 3rd at 1:04:21. Roger St. Jean was close behind at 1:04:58. Adam Currie did three laps in 47:02 minutes.

Connor McDonell won the Kids Race at 7:25, with Daric McDonell second at 7:45, and Nicholas Guliov in third at 10:15.

The next mountain bike series race is Aug 30 at the new Beatton Cactus circuit.
