Fort St. John’s Ferris Fast Cycles was the victim of an attempted break-in on Friday morning.
Owner Pat Ferris says he was called to the store shortly after 2:30 on Friday morning, when the security alarm went off.
Constable Jessica Veysey with the Fort St. John RCMP says the suspect fled the scene when the alarm went off, and nothing was taken from the store.
But, there was significant damage to both the front door and back window. Ferris says the front window was smashed-in, and the back door was also beaten-in and its window was smashed.
Ferris says this isn’t the first time his business was attacked by vandals. The recent attack brings the break-in tally to four, in the company’s 11 years of operation.
