This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Given today’s forecast it looks like August will be the fourth consecutive month of below normal precipitation in this region.

The average amount for this month is 56.9 millimeters but our 30-day unofficial total is only 43.2.  There was no precipitation recorded on the weekend and temperatures for the past three days rose nearly 10 degrees above the norm, to within a couple of degrees of the daily record highs.

The warmest day was yesterday, with a high of 27.8, missing by only 1.6, the 1967 record, of 29.4. The precipitation total for the last four months is 168 .9 millimeters, which is better than last year’s 134.8.

However, it is still far off the norm for that period of 251.2.
