The Grande Prairie RCMP are hoping the public can help locate a bank robber.

At just after 5:15 on Thursday evening, a lone male entered the bank, at 116 Street and 100 Avenue in the city’s west end, approached a teller.  He claimed to have an unidentified weapon and demanded cash.  The teller co-operated, and after the suspect got some money, he fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing around 200 pounds.  He has reddish brown hair, a pale complexion, and a scruffy beard.  At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and a grey hoodie or jacket.

Anyone who has information that could prove useful in this investigation, is asked to call the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment, at 787-830-5700, or crimestoppers, at 1-800-222-8477.
