The Williams Lake RCMP were called to a plane crash on Saturday afternoon.
At around 12:45pm on August 22nd, a single-engine Cessna plane experienced engine failure when the pilot was unable to switch fuel tanks successfully.
The pilot glided the plane to an open field, but made contact with a hedge causing the plane to overturn. He sustained minor injuries and was able to free himself from the wreckage. The pilot was the lone occupant of the plane.
Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department attended the crash and spread foam on the plane and the surrounding to prevent the leaking fuel from igniting.
