Pink Mountain woman wins 10k at Calgary Stampede

A woman from Pink Mountain has won top prize at the Calgary Stampede for Arena Stock Dog Trialing.

Pam Boring took home a ten thousand dollar prize after her Border collie named Mirk scored highest at the competition.

Boring owns a farm in the Pink Mountain area. She says she got her first dog out of necessity.

In Stock Dog Trailing, sheep are let out at one end of the arena, and the owner must lead the dog through an obstacle course in the fastest time.

Boring says she currently has four Border Collies, three of which are eligible to compete.
