A 24-old male has been arrested for the murder of Annie Davis which occurred on April 20, 2008 near Chetwynd.

Police made the arrest on Friday, July 24th after an extensive 14 month investigation conducted by the “E” Division North District Major Crime Unit, the Chetwynd RCMP Detachment, and several other RCMP support units.

Davis’s body was found on May 6, 2008 on Jackfish Lake Road. She was 46 year old at the time of death, but would have celebrated her 47th birthday on May 8th of last year.

Police did not release the cause of death; however Davis was last seen on or about April 16, 2008.

Investigators say they would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.

Now, the male remains in custody to appear in Dawson Creek Provincial Court on a later date. His name will be released after his first public court appearance.
